JM Design — Jour & Matière — is a small interior design studio in Singapore, run by two partners. We work on homes and small commercial spaces, and we build each one around daylight and natural materials.
You will meet both of us at the first visit, and you will still be talking to both of us at handover. The people who sketch your space are the same people standing beside you at the stone yard, pointing out the vein that will run down the side of your island.
We keep the studio small on purpose. It means we can choose every slab, check every drawing, and be on site at the moments that matter.

We look at how daylight moves through your space before we draw, and plan the lighting around it.
Stone and finishes are chosen at the start, because they shape everything else.
We choose materials that wear well and grow more beautiful with use.
Natural stone varies from slab to slab, so we never order it from a photo. We choose the slabs with you at the yard, then lay paper templates over each one and mark by hand where every cut will fall — so the best of the veining ends up where you will see it every day.
